Anyone else having issues flashing Wyzecam v2 with firmware newer than 4.5.x.x?

I have the Wyze Pan cam and the screen seems wearisome compared to the Wyze app'southward rendering. In other words, Wyze App, you can see pretty darn close to real time capture. On the Dafang, I tin move my hand by the camera and well-nigh ii-3 seconds later it shows up in my browser screen. Is this due to the style my browser is rendering or a nuance with the Pan Cam?

I put a Wyze V2 on a RC truck and documented it (see below). What'southward the current recommendation for clients to view the RTSP stream from the camera (on PC and/or mobile devices)? I'm using mpv on Linux with the --contour=low-latency option, and that generally works - but sometimes freezes. I've tried VLC on iOS, simply i have the same freezing effect, and older iPads can't cope with the stream (I use MJPEG over h264 considering it seems to piece of work better on those).

Hullo, I'm attempting to install the current Xiaomi-Dafang firmware on a Wyze V2 photographic camera. After flashing, the camera does non boot successfully. It enters a flashing xanthous lite with a click on every other wink. No blueish light. I've tried reverting to an before stock firmware, then reapplying this custom firmware. The stock firmware works fine, simply not this firmware.

I'm simply wondering what everyone else has done, if anything.

I have tried to decrypt password in shadow file with bruteforce but no luck this time. I've repacked filesystem with dissimilar root password. On power-upwardly, I get error mkimage signature not found - ih_magic = 81561905. Tin can anyone help me in which management tin I beginning to look for a solution? Camera has Android bootimg and uImage header. Is this an u-boot issue or android issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi all. I take been using a Xiaomi Dafang for a while with the custom firmware, and things have been working corking. My camera recently suffered some water / collision damage when falling from a height of effectually 4 feet while outside in indirect rain (I know, not rated for outdoor use). When I turn the camera on at present, I get a blinking yellowish light with the SD carte du jour inserted or non inserted, and the camera does its motor test on each power on. Does anyone take feel with resurrecting a Dafang? I cleaned the contacts on the microSD carte (some water harm), but no such luck.

Anybody know if remote power on/off is possible? I know that I tin shutdown the cam from the web interface. What I am looking for is a http or mqtt control to transport to the cam to turn it off and the possibility of turning it back on sending for instance a WOL package? Use example being indoor cams that I do non want to have agile while we are at home. I doubt that this is possible, so I think I will need external relay to control power to the cam, merely if I could manage without it would be better...

I've successfully washed this on two cameras of my own, besides...

... but at present I"1000 hoping that someone tin give me input as to how to increase the FPS rate... if I bump to 60frames in one second, it still only updates every 1 second.. whatsoever help?

Hello guys, I got to the point where the camera executes the run.sh script, but I get "Could not read interface wlan0 flags: No such device". Information technology finds and loads module "8189es", but no wlan0. Did I maybe flash the wrong CFW ?

allright... I tried flashing each cfw ane by one until it worked. I have the footling white cube, from AliExpress, it says 1S on the bottom, information technology 'southward marketed as Xiaomi Mija Xiaofang 1S, but the CFW that works is wyzecam_v2/cfw-1.0.bin (rtl8189ftv). Could take guessed it, since fifty-fifty on AliExpress, the lady in the video has a Wyzecam Tshirt

Hello. Does anyone have XDH working on Wyze Cam v3? I take successfully gotten the WyzeHacks firmware working (https://github.com/HclX/WyzeHacks/tree/primary/tools/v3) but that but gives NFS support and telnet. Would it be possible to get RTSP and everything else working? Suspiciously, the install notes for XDH at present say that the v3 requires the install bin to be "demo_wcv3.bin" so someone must be working on this....

@42Network v3 has signature verification on demo bin files so its unlikely to become it piece of work using demo.bin direct. In that location are other ways of laoding a custom linux though.

Hello. I take a weird problem. I have iii Dafang and two Xiaofang cameras that were working perfectly for past year or so. I recently upgraded my intel iMac to M1 Mac, also from Catalina to Large Sur. A few days ago I wanted to swap some camera locations so I switched the SD cards around in devices etc.. not to bother you with the whole process, simply every SD bill of fare that I inserted to my new M1 Mac, has failed to boot Dafang cameras at present. Even that 1 which I didn't write/modify anything on, but copied files for fill-in!

I have now tried to install a fresh re-create etc.. cipher seem to work.
